Peas
The pea can be green or yellow, pod-shaped fruit, widely grown as a cool-season vegetable crop. The outer husk, large peas contain a large amount of starch and for that reason become particularly soft when cooked. The normal cooking time for green and yellow peas is approx. 2 hours. Peas soaked in water for 12 hours only need approx. 60 - 90 minutes. |
